This book! Words cannot express how much I loved Then There Was You. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve finished and I’m still thinking about Tessa and Rowan. These two started as friends back as teenagers. After hooking up for a bit, then went there separate ways only to be back in the same town, their hometown, after 5 years.
The chemistry between the two is off the charts! First you have Tessa. Sweet, sexy feisty as hell Tessa. Mix that with Rowan, who is gorgeous, loyal and so damn clueless when it comes to his real, true feelings for her. These two are a beautiful mess when thrown together.
I love the main characters so much, but I also became invested in the secondary characters. They left a huge impression on me. Samson, Rowan’s brother is so talented and such a great friend to Tessa. Freddie, Tessa’s brother actually intrigued me the most. There was something about him that left me wanting more.
Claire’s writing has always been able to transport me right into the story. She has a way of making me so invested in her characters, even when I wan to scream, cry and maybe smack a few faces (Rowan I’m talking about you). I was put through the ringer with this book, my heart on an emotional rollercoaster, but would do it all over again.
The love, the friendship, laughter and of course angst, has made this book jump to one of my all time favorite books.
