Overdue, a swoonworthy best friend to lovers, standalone romance from Miranda Elaine is available now!

Growing up, Griffin Thorne was the most annoying, adorable, and infuriating boy I’d ever met. I told myself I wanted nothing to do with him, but no matter how much I tried to hate him, that crazy boy somehow became my best friend.
As teenagers, we were inseparable. Despite the high school rumors, we never crossed any lines. Friends forever. That was our motto.
Griffin grew up to become a smoking hot firefighter and I got my dream job as the town librarian. Life was perfect. However, when tragedy strikes and we’re forced to move in together, our friendship is put to the biggest test yet.
Do I risk everything for the chance at an epic love? If I follow my heart, I could lose my best friend. But if it works, we could finally get our very own Happily Ever After.

My Review:
I loved this sweet friends to lovers story!
Leni and Griffin have been friends since they were teens. Living next door to each other since age nine. I loved their friendship, although each has feelings for the other, neither wants to act on it.
Leni lives with her awesome grandmother, Nan, that’s so full of like, she makes Leni seem the like grandma. Leni is shy, quite, the ultimate book worm that prefers to stay home and read a book.
I loved how great Griffin was. The perfect best friend. Honest and loyal fireman.
Overdue was a quick read. The friendship easily progressed to lovers, without the extreme unnecessary drama. I loved how the story flowed and it was wonderfully written. Nan was a huge scene stealer.
Excerpt
It doesn’t take long to get to Jack’s place. Griffin and he have been working together for years. Jack has always been the biggest flirt and serial dater up until he met Shelby. But in the span of the eighteen months, he met her, got married in Vegas, and had a kid.
It was a quick courtship.
Shelby works as an interior designer on the island. She fixes up huge houses for the rich people who will only use them for a couple of months a year. The cookout this weekend was her idea since starting Monday she’s finally back at work since having their baby, Ava, two months ago. She doesn’t really have any coworkers other than her assistant, Sarah, so Jack invited all the other firefighters and their families over too.
We park on the street along with a half dozen other trucks and a few minivans from the family men. He’s out of the truck and over on my side before I can even get my things together.
“Hand it over,” he demands, his palm up waiting for me to comply.
I play dumb, wide eyes and innocence on my face. “What are you talking about?” I climb down the too big truck, trying desperately not to fall over . . . again.
“The book that’s hiding in your bag, Leni.” He points to the tote bag hanging to my side. “Come on now, give it to me. Easiest way for you not to give in to the desire to hide and read is to remove the temptation.”
“I left my book at home. Remember, you saw me set it down.” I play dumb.
“I’ve known you since we were nine. If you think I don’t know that you have a backup book in that bag, then you’re dead wrong.”
“Ugh!” I sigh dramatically as I pull out my well-loved copy of Emma and place it in his hand. He gently tosses it onto my seat, and I smack his shoulder as he does. He knows better than to throw around my books.
“Great, now the Kindle.” His voice is stern, and I know he means it.
“Seriously? Griffin, this is not cool. I’m a grown woman. I can go a few hours without reading.”
“Sure, you can. But I know you’ll get overwhelmed by the chaos that is definitely happening in there and you’ll retreat to a quiet corner.” He leans in close enough to me that I can smell his subtle cologne and shoves his hand deep into the tote, pulling my Kindle out in one fast swipe.
“Don’t you firefighters take obeying the law seriously?” I snark at him. “Seems to me you’re stealing my possessions and my lifeline.”
“Sue me. Hell, march downtown and file a report with any cop there. Good luck getting them to pursue it. I think they have much bigger fish to fry than me holding onto your electronics while we are at a social gathering. Don’t you think?”
“Grrr,” I growl at him before stomping off toward the gate with him on my heels. Before I can even acknowledge what is happening, he’s caught up to me and has me caged between him and the gate. I work hard to steady my breath, refusing to let him see how his closeness affects me. I feel his hand slide into the back pocket of my overalls. As quick as it’s there, it’s gone, along with my cell phone. The backup to my backup plan.
“I told you, Leni, I know you. You can have this with your Kindle app back on the way home!” he yells out to me as I let the gate behind me slam in front of him.
With a huff, I turn, open the gate, and storm angrily through it. Caught in a fit of laughter, he stands there watching me leave him behind. With the loud sound of the metal gate slamming behind me mixed with the booming laughter coming from Griffin, the party seems to come to a complete standstill.
Great . . . everyone is looking my way and my first instinct is to turn and run. But to prove to him I can do this, I stand tall, throw my long red hair over my shoulder, and march myself over to Shelby.

New Release + Review: The Bribe by Willa Nash
The Bribe by Willa Nash is now live!
Duke Evans didn't expect to interrupt a beautiful woman in a staring contest with a bison on his favorite hiking trail. He also didn't expect to see her again after rescuing her from the surly beast. He's not sure why Lucy lied about her identity or why she's in Calamity. And she's not talking. Instead, she offers him a bribe to keep her secret.

My Review:
It doesn’t matter which name she writes under, Willa Nash aka Devney Perry, always delivers amazing books. Her writing is flawless and the story makes you feel like your in the book, living in this wonderful world she’s created. Welcome to Calamity, you’ll fall in love with Duke and Lucy.
Are you ready to dive into an entirely new small town in Montana? We get a sexy sheriff in Calamity. Duke Evans is everything you can imagine, hot, sexy, rugged. But he’s oh so sweet too. He won me over from the first moment. While Lucy and Duke’s first meeting in Calamity isn’t the greatest, the attraction these two have to each other is undeniable.
Lucy ran from Nashville, but for reasons unclear to Duke. We get a little bit of the Devney Classic Suspense in the book, which I love. It adds a great twist to the books that keep you guessing.
Then we have Duke’s relationship with Travis. Talk about making Duke even hotter! I love how close they are and how much Duke loves him. Then we get the instruction of a broody artist. All these Calamity residents are so easy to love.
The Bribe is a must read book earning an obvious 5 stars. I never wanted to put it down and am so eager for more.

My Review:
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a great YA fantasy book. And it’s the very first fantasy book from K.A. Linde that I’ve read. I was not disappointed at all!
House of Dragons was something so far from what I’ve been reading lately, and I loved it. I got magic and dragons, Faes and humans.
Kerrigan is so bad ass. She’s half fae/half human. After being abandoned, she’s been living and trained in the House Of Dragon. Then she needs to be picked by a tribe, but never gets chosen. I feel for her because she really doesn’t know where she belongs. But she’s fierce and such a fighter.
I’ll be eagerly waiting for book 2!

My Review:
Absolutely amazing!! Devney Perry has the power to complete suck me into the world she has created. Rift and Refrains is a beautifully written book about firsts loves and second chances.
Quinn goes home to Montana after 9 years of staying away. We learn that her departure wasn’t a loved filled farewell..and that she left the boy she loved behind. Her homecoming isn’t under the best circumstances either, her beloved grandmother Nan passed away, who was basically the only one Quinn kept in touch with constantly.
Her reunion with her first love Graham is everything she thought it would be, awkward and uncomfortable. Graham is the sexy single father that can’t help the content pull to Quinn. I loved the tension and all the feels this book gave me. They may have had young love, but there is not reason why it wasn’t real.
I feel like I say this about every new book, but this one may be my new favorite from Devney. It’s definitely in my top 3 favorite books I’ve read this year. The Quinn we met in the first book of Hush Note has redeemed herself in my eyes. I loved her and Graham. And Colin was a little scene stealer, so adorable!
Excerpt
She took one step before stopping. A smile tugged at the corner of her mouth, the same corner I’d kissed earlier, and I fought the urge to stand and capture that mouth again. Her smile broadened, though there was pain in her eyes.
“Colin is a cool kid. You’re a good dad, Graham. I always knew you would be.”
She might as well have stabbed me in the chest.
“Thanks,” I said, watching as she walked away.
Fuck me.
When had I never loved that woman?
Maybe that kiss had woken me up. Maybe it had made me realize how goddamn lonely I’d been without her. I had Colin, but there was a corner of my heart that would always belong to Quinn.
I should have followed her nine years ago.
Because now it was too late.

Blog Tour: The Right Player by Kandi Steiner
The Right Player: A Sports Romance by bestselling author Kandi Steiner is now live!
From bestselling author Kandi Steiner comes a sexy, hilarious, opposites-attract sports romance set in the lively city of Chicago...
I have a three date rule — but it’s not what you think.
See, I’ve been told I’m the “good time girl,” not the one you take home to Mom. And
while that label stung at first, I’ve since embraced it — living the wild and
free life and sticking to a three date max. That’s just enough time to have
some fun and snuff out the possibility of catching feelings. And it’s been
working for me for years…
Until Makoa Kumaka.
Sadly, he also has a three date rule — and it’s the exact
opposite of mine. From the second I meet him, all I can think about is
stripping down that six-foot-five Herculean hunk of a man. But like the
gentleman I wish he wasn’t, he’s making me wait.
The more time we spend together, the more I feel those pesky emotions creeping in.
I’m even tempted to trust him, but blame it on my past or my instincts, I can’t
shake the feeling that he’s hiding something…
I’ve been playing the game forever, and no man has ever won my heart — which meant
they never had the power to break it.
But maybe I just hadn’t met the right player.
Maybe I’ll wish I never did.

My Review:
Kandi Steiner has completely outdone herself with the Right Player. While she is known as the angst queen, she’s written the perfect romance that will leave you with a huge smile on your face with all the feels.
We have Belle, who you may know from the Wrong Game. She’s Gemma’s best friend and I was sooo happy when I found out Belle was getting her own book. Self dubbed the Good Time Girl, Belle is anti relationship. Her complete opposite, Mr. I want love, walks into her office and is immediately smitten.
I love Makoa. He is the sweetest, guy, a little goofy and awkward, but that only adds to his appeal. He’s like a big teddy bear that you never want to let go. Both Bella and Makoa have been burned in the past. Where Makoa jumps in head first, Belle is still holding back a little. I love how he is with her. Their attraction is instant. They are so comfortable with each other and Makoa will make you swoon.
Excerpt
I burst through Gemma’s door at seven on the dot the next morning.
“We have a problem.”
Zach and Gemma were both in the kitchen, their hair a mess, sleep still in their eyes, Gemma mid-yawn while Zach hadn’t even poured the coffee grounds into the filter yet. He cocked a brow at Gemma, who managed a smile before leaning her hip against the kitchen counter and addressing me. “Well, good morning, Belle. Happy Saturday to you, too.”
“I know we agreed I couldn’t come over before ten on the weekends but this is an emergency,” I said, nudging Zach out of the way and taking over where he was in the coffee-making process. I’d barely slept, and if I didn’t get some caffeine in the next ten minutes, I’d become a monster. “Shoo.”
Zach chuckled, throwing his hands up and backing out of the kitchen.
“What’s the emergency?” Gemma asked, wrapping her arms around Zach’s waist when he joined her.
“He didn’t want to have sex with me.”
Their silence was my only answer, and I huffed, slamming the top of the coffee pot closed as I thrust the carafe under the faucet and turned it on.
“I’m confused,” Gemma finally said.
“HE DIDN’T WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH ME,” I repeated.
“Like, he’s not interested?”
“No, like, he had a thick, raging hard on threatening to break loose from his jeans but didn’t do anything about it.” I turned the faucet off with more aggression than necessary, slamming the carafe into place and flicking on the power switch. I crossed my arms and faced them when it started brewing. “He kissed me on the freaking cheek guys.”
Gemma chuckled, and Zach looked at her before he turned his confused expression on me. “That’s not an emergency. That’s not even a problem at all. That’s him being a gentleman.”
Gemma and I exchanged looks this time. “Please tell me you’re not on his side here.”
“I mean…” Gemma bit her lip, looking at her fiancé with a shrug. “That is kind of weird, nowadays anyway.”
Zach’s mouth popped open.
Gemma threw her hands up. “I mean, even we hooked up on our first date. Remember?”
Zach didn’t respond to that.
“Thank you,” I said, gesturing to Gemma before I let my hand fall to slap my thigh. “I mean, there we are, post-dinner and all talked out, and I’m running my hands all over his freaking tattoos. I start unbuttoning his shirt and he stops me.” I pause for dramatic effect. “The man stopped me from stripping him.”
“Maybe he’s really shy,” Gemma suggested.
“I don’t think that’s it. I mean, you saw him in the office. The man is confidence embodied.”
“True,” she agreed. “Oh, what if he’s into really freaky stuff? You know. Whips and chains, nipple clamps, all that. And he wants to ease you into it.”
I considered it, and I wasn’t mad at that possibility. “A Christian Gray, perhaps?”
“Could be! Did he have a room locked off that he wouldn’t let you go in?”
My shoulders sagged at that. “No, I saw his whole place. And the man brought everything he owns from California in maybe two-dozen boxes. I think he hired me because he lived like a college bachelor before now.” I shook my head. “I don’t think it’s because he’s so kinky he thinks he’ll scare me.”
“Maybe he just wants to get to know you before he has sex with you,” Zach said, deadpan, as if he couldn’t believe he even had to say that out loud.
I scoffed, crossing my arms again. “We talked all night. He knew me plenty well enough to bend me over his kitchen counter.” Then, all the blood drained from my face. “Oh my God, what if he has a micropenis?”
Gemma’s eyes shot open, and she covered her mouth. “No! You don’t honestly think?”
I shook my head, slumping against the counter once more. “Nah. I saw his bulge. No way was that a sock.”
We stood in silence for a bit, thinking.
“Maybe he has a weird shaped dick. Or a mole or something,” Gemma said.
“He wouldn’t let me take off his shirt. Maybe it’s a third nipple,” I guessed.
Gemma lit up like I’d told her her hair looked pretty. “Oh, that wouldn’t be so bad!”
“Maybe it’s the three date rule.”
I blinked a few times before I turned to look at Zach, confused. “Three date rule?”
“Yeah. You know… he doesn’t want to have sex until the third date. It’s like the classic dating handbook rule number one.”
I looked at Gemma, who tilted her head to the side as she considered it. “That does make sense.”
“So, you’re saying I’m not going to get any until he takes me out on two more dates?” I groaned, pulling three coffee cups from the cabinet and topping them all off. I handed one to each of them before wrapping my hands around mine. “Who on Earth still does that?”
“Nice guys. Good guys. Guys who are interested in more than just getting in your pants.” Zach shook his head. “Belle, come on. This is a good thing.”
“Tell that to my throbbing clitoris, Zach.”
Gemma nearly spit out her coffee, and Zach chuckled, throwing up his free hand in surrender. “And on that note, I’m going to watch Sports Center.” He kissed Gemma’s cheek before turning to me. “Good luck with your emergency.”
I wiggled my fingers in a goodbye to him, and Gemma and I shared a knowing smile once he was gone.
