  Ari
When you’re young you think you know it all. I was fortunate enough to live in a world where poverty was just something I’d heard of, but never experienced. Until, I took a chance on the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. The chemistry undeniable. Our worlds collided and I fell hard, we both did. I needed him to stay and when he didn’t, it broke my heart. So I grew up and moved on. I didn’t know who I was back then, or what I was up against. But I do now. I won’t make the same mistakes.

Torren
I made mistakes, I thought I knew what I was doing. Turns out sometimes loyalty and stupidity go hand in hand. I took the one thing I needed most and I pushed her away with my actions. Sent her running in the opposite direction is more like it. When fate brings us together again, I desperately want to make things right, prove to her that I’m not that guy anymore. Time has done nothing to put out the fire between us, but she has no plans to let me be a part of her future. I’m about to change that.

Never found love like this before

cooltext311971769853563

I love reading debut authors. It’s so great to find a new author that can write a wonderful story.

Torren and Ari are such flawed characters that you will immediately fall in love with. Their story begins when Ari is still is high school. Despite their very different background they grow close. Only to be ripped apart from each other. The second part of the book is 8 years later giving them a second chance at love.

The book is well written. The characters are great. I loved the story. It was impossible to put down! I definitely look forward to what Devin Sawyer has in store for the future.

ARC received for an honest review.

“Claire Contreras delivers ALL the feels in this charming, witty and sexy enemies-to-lovers romance, and it will own your heart from cover to cover.” - Mary, Frolic Media
The Consequence of Falling, a contemporary romance by New York Times Bestselling Author Claire Contreras is Live!
TCOF AMAZON.jpg
The list of things I hate is short. Not even my soon-to-be ex-husband is on that list. Nope. I save only the worst of the worst, the crème de la crème, the absolute I cannot even for this list . . .
1. Black coffee
2. Rude people
3. Nathaniel Bradley
Which is why when my father informs me that he’s making Nathaniel Bradley his new business partner, and in turn, my boss, I flip out.
1. He’s an annoying know-it-all.
2. He calls me a spoiled princess every chance he gets.
3. He disapproves of everything I do.
I go into this knowing I’ll hate every second in his presence. Except the longer he’s around, the more I find myself staring at his lips and remembering the one time they were on mine. I randomly find myself looking at his hands and wondering how they’d feel on my skin.
I try to snap out of it, but I guess I’m not as smart as I thought I was. No matter how many times I remind myself of the times I’ve practically thrown myself at him and he’s pushed me away, I keep falling little by little.
I’d always heard that it was a bad idea to mix business with pleasure and if that’s the case, this thing with Nathaniel has demise written all over it.

My 5 Star Review:

Claire has combined two of my favorite things: romance and beer. That’s combination has made this book one of my favorites of hers. I always love her books, she’s is my number one favorite author. This book was just a reminder of why.

There was so much emotion in this book. Not only emotions between the relationship with Presley and Nathaniel but between Presley and her parents. In particular her father. There was so much anger that was brewing there. We got to see the difficult road that lead them to the end. This book will make you feel so much! The scenes with Presley and her father were definitely some of my favorites and made me tear up at times.

Now, Presley and Nathaniel? Wow! They had off the charts chemistry. The sexual tension was there with them from the very beginning. Years of bickering and fighting were bound to lead to either them throwing things at each other or tearing each other’s clothes off.

I loved, loved this book! The cover is gorgeous. There writing is incredible as always. These characters were easy to love. Plus, we get scenes with my favorite lawyer! An absolutely 5 star must read!!!

My 5 Star Review:

I read this book in one sitting! It such a quick, fun read!

Cannon immediately captured by heart. He was sweet but had a dirty mouth. Such lethal combination that is impossible not to fall in love with. He was instantly attracted to Lady Susana. She was also easy to love. Sweet and proper. She was not used to a man like him.

Even though the connection was instant, the fact that they lived in 2 countries made it difficult for them to try and make it last. But I was rooting for them the entire time. This book gave me all the feels! The fact that Cannon admitted he always fell hard for girls made me love him even more. There's something great about the fact that the man isn't afraid to admit he's head over heels for a girl.

I loved this book so much. Absolutely a 5 star read for me.

Blog tour-2.jpg
Excerpt:
“I’m thinking about how beautiful you are,” I answer Susanna truthfully. She really is stunning, in that classic, elegant way some women are. She’s just very…refined? Is that the right word? Her cheekbones and jaw are sharp, her nose is straight, her blue eyes are extra bright and her full lips are the color of a classic red rose. Her cheeks are the color of pink roses, thanks to the compliment I just gave her. “Thank you. That’s very sweet of you to say,” she murmurs, casting her gaze downward for a brief moment before she lifts her head. “I can’t believe we’re here. Together.” “Why do you say that?” I feel the same way, but want to hear her reasoning first before I make any confessions. “You’re not my type,” she blurts, covering her mouth after the words escape for a brief moment before slowly dropping her hand. “Not that there’s anything wrong with you.” I raise an eyebrow. “Gee, thanks.” Her cheeks turn redder. “Oh goodness, I’m not trying to insult you, I just—I’m making a mess of this, and I apologize. What I meant to say is…” She takes a deep breath, exhaling loudly before she continues. “You’re not the type of man I normally date, but there’s something good to be said in that.” She’s not the type I normally go for either, that’s for damn sure. She’s too prim, too proper, too sweet. “Like what?” “There’s nothing wrong with trying something a little different sometimes. Clearly who I’ve been dating in the past hasn’t worked, since I’m still single,” she says with a self-depreciating laugh. “I thought Dickie was your ex-boyfriend,” I point out with a wince. That is the damn worst name on the planet, I swear. “Oh, it was never too serious with Dickie.” She waves a hand. Laughs again. “That was a long time ago, though.” “How long?” “I don’t know. Six months? Nine?” She tilts her head, as if she’s quietly counting back the months. “Eight months, actually. During the winter. He told me I was a bright light on a cold, dreary day once. That was nice.” For some godforsaken reason, jealousy rises within me, making me clench my fists in my lap. “I guess he’s a goddamned poet.” I would never think to say something like that to a woman. I’m not one to say a bunch of flowery nonsense to get between a woman’s legs. I’m a little more direct. She seems startled by my response. “Oh, he wasn’t a poet. Not at all. That was probably the nicest thing he ever said to me while we dated.” Huh. Well, I guess that makes me feel a little better, but not much. And why the hell do I care what her ex-boyfriend said to her? This is a one-shot deal. I’ll take her to dinner, hopefully kiss her a little bit in the back of an Uber, maybe even feel her up a little bit too, and then we’re done. I’ll play my game tomorrow, we’ll win because that’s what we do, and then head back home. End of story. The server returns to the table with our drinks, making an elaborate show of popping the cork on the bottle of Veuve Clicquot before pouring us each a glass. I didn’t want any champagne, but when Susanna lifts her glass toward me in a toast, I grab mine and clink our glasses together. “To new friends,” she says, smiling prettily. “New friends,” I agree, downing most of the champagne in one swallow.

Blurb

Aiden Winchester: Call it self-preservation, but I need to get out of Hollywood. My heart’s just been shredded by my longtime girlfriend. Worse yet, we have to pretend we’re still America’s sweethearts until after our next picture is released. With the next six months looking more like American Horror Story than a Lifetime channel love story, I’m heading east to make my stage debut.

Broadway, here I come.

Franky Marchesi: I love my close-knit Italian family. I’d probably love them a lot more if they weren’t in my face all the time. So when my best friend begs me to move into her Upper West Side brownstone—rent free—to take care of her new pup whenever she travels, I’d be crazy to say no. But while my living expenses are covered, I still need to make some money if I’m ever going to save enough for college. So with a little luck and no experience, I land a job as a barista at Broadway Beans, a coffee shop in the theater district. But on my first day, I almost kill the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. With a latte. Who knew making over-priced coffee could be so difficult?
It’s a hell of a great way to meet someone though.

A modern-day “Moonstruck,” BROADWAY BEANS is a friends-to-lovers romantic comedy.

When I discovered Jessica Prince had a new series coming out I squealed with delight!! I loved the other series I had read by her, and was so excited to get something new. Her writing and stories have quickly become favorites of mine!

Out of My League was sooo great!!! I immediately loved the heroine, Eden. She had such a hard life growing and she had finally found a little slice of paradise in Hope Valley. Lincoln, on the other hand, took me a little while to warm up to. As the story progressed though, it became impossible not to love him. He was sweet, genuine and so fiercely protective of Eden.

I actually loved all the characters. All of Lincoln’s workers at his security firm are hot, sexy and oh so sweet! Plus Eden’s new friends! I cannot wait to get more!! I wish I could move to Hope Valley and get my own hottie..

“What the hell was that?” I finally managed to ask on a heavy exhale.
“Two weeks, buttercup,” he said on a growl. “Two fuckin’ weeks I’ve had to watch you at a distance, and the first words you speak to me in that time are to jump down my goddamn throat.”
I tried to step back, but his arms tightened. “Well, what did you think I’d do when I found out?”
“Exactly this,” he said smugly.
“Wait. You wanted me to come in here and blow up at you?”
“If that’s what it took to get you to stop pretendin’ like I don’t exist, then yeah. I’ve been going outta my goddamn mind for two weeks, Edie.”
“That makes two of us!” I cried. “Only mine’s all your fault.”
“It was a means to an end. One way or another, I was gonna keep you safe. I wanted to do it my damn self, but you wouldn’t allow that, so I did the next best thing, with a little added incentive to my boys to do everything in their power to annoy you to the point that you’d let me back in so I could look after you.”
Putting my hands to his chest, I shoved as hard as I possibly could. It was like trying to move a mountain. “For god’s sake,” I gasped. “Do you have any idea how insane that sounds?”
“Haven’t been feelin’ all that fuckin’ sane the past couple weeks, buttercup,” he clipped in return.
I gave him another shove, and another, and another until he finally relented and let me go. “Don’t say that,” I snapped back just as hard, causing him to tilt his head in confusion.
“Don’t say what?”
“Don’t call me buttercup like that. Not when you’re pissed. You gave me that name when we first met, and I’ve freaking loved it ever since. Don’t you use it sarcastically. That’s not fair.”
Everything suddenly shifted. Lincoln’s anger and irritation faded away, and his face took on that soft warmth that made my heart flip. “I’m sorry, baby,” he said so gently that I thought I might break down and cry right then and there. “I promise not to do it again.”
God, I was a wreck. I was so off-kilter I didn’t know up from down. “Jesus, Linc. What are we doing here? This isn’t normal behavior. It’s totally unhealthy.”
He crossed his arms over his chest, and for the first time since storming in, I actually noticed what he was wearing. Running shoes, a pair of loose black basketball shorts that hung tantalizingly off his narrow hips, and another Under Armour shirt, only this one was white and sleeveless. And damn, did he look good.
He watched me closely as he leaned back casually against the door, cutting off any hopes I might have had of escaping. “You’re right, Edie. Nothing about this is normal, but I’m fine with that.”
“How can you say that?” I asked in frustration, the tsunami of emotions inside of me making it impossible to think straight. “How could you ever be okay with this?”
“Because I’ve never cared about someone the way I care about you. I was just fine with the way my life was before you came along, Eden. I never considered marriage or kids or settling down. As far as I was concerned, none of that shit was for me. Then I met you.”
“Lincoln—”
But he wasn’t finished. “You told me that what we had was real for you from the very beginning. What I didn’t realize was that it was the same for me too.” All the air expelled from my lungs on a painful exhale. “When I held you on the dance floor that first night, everything changed. You’re genuine and beautiful. I don’t just want you, Eden, I want to know you. You’re different than any woman I’ve ever been with.”
“I make you laugh,” I whispered, the words spilling out of their own accord.
He nodded and lowered his voice. “You make me laugh.” Pushing off the wall, he closed the distance between us and placed a palm on either side of my neck, using his thumbs to tip my face up. “And you make it so easy. I didn’t think that was possible, baby.”
“Nona told me you don’t laugh a lot,” I said quietly. “I didn’t believe her because I’d seen it myself every time we were together.”
“That was because of you, Edie. Only you.”
I couldn’t take it anymore. Lifting onto my toes, I slammed my lips against his and kissed him with everything I was.

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.
