Omg!! Mack is my favorite off all this series!! Pieces of Us is a second chance romance that is a must read!!!

As always, A.L. Jackson’s writing is phenomenal!! Her words are always so beautiful and poetic. With this book, she’s outdone herself. Mack and Izzy are my favorite couple of all in this Confessions of the Heart series. Childhood best friends turned into something more.

Mack’s story will make you hurt and feel so much! He had a bad home life with his father. Always thinking he was less. But Izzy always knew who he was deep down inside. She love for him is deep and unwavering .

This is more than a romance book. It’s a book you’ll feel down to your bones. One of love and laughter but lingering heartache. It’s all worth it in the end though!!

A fabulous story and a great conclusion to this series. I’m sorry to see it end, but ending it with this couple was the perfect way to go.

My 5 Star Review:

Stacey has completely outdone herself with this book! Before We Fell is my new favorite from her!! I wish I could visit Carlton, Kansas! I know I’d never want to leave.

Noah and Lauren’s relationship will most definitely give you all the feels! Their story is heartbreakingly beautiful. My heart was bursting at the seams. Noah has a heart of gold underneath his gruff exterior. Lauren’s beautiful soul was apparent just while spending a few moments with her. And Riley? She’s the sweetest little girl. She’s suffered such tragedy in her little life.

Be prepared to go through an emotional rollercoaster while reading this story. But it’s so, so worth it. Before We Fell is absolutely a 5 star read for me and one of my favorites so far this year!!!

It was the darkness covering us, shadowing everything except us. It was the tease of her all night. It was her laughter. Her scent. It was her. I did exactly what I just said I shouldn’t. Couldn’t. My hand went to her cheek. I slid my fingers beneath her ear, brushing my thumb against the warmth of her skin. “Lauren.” Her hand curled around my wrist. She didn’t push it away. She didn’t pull me toward her. She gaped at me, mouth parting, lip sliding along her bottom lip. Her pulse pounded against my fingertips. “We shouldn’t,” she whispered. “You’re right. And I’d take it when the time was right. “Goodnight, Miss Frazier,” I said, grinning against my thumb, wishing she’d tell me to kiss her. She didn’t. She pressed on my wrist, pushing my hand away from her. I let her go reluctantly, stepping back and licking my own lips. “Goodnight, Mr. Wilkes.” Her grin shook. Like we shared a secret joke. We definitely shared a secret. I admitted I wanted her. She didn’t tell me she didn’t feel the same…just that we shouldn’t. Which wasn’t close to being the same as couldn’t. Or wouldn’t. My lawyer-sharp mind found the loophole. Someday I’d figure out a way to exploit it.
