New Release: The First Lights by Christy Pastore
Synopsis
Goodreads
My Review:
Oh my! The First Lights was such a light, sweet second chance romance! This is the first book that I’ve read by Christy Pastore and I was not disappointed in the least. I really enjoyed this book.
Both main characters have endured such heartache and pain. Wyatt and Hannah meet under unconventional circumstances. I love how this book as a light forbidden feel to it.
It was a pretty quick read for me or at least it seemed like with. I couldn’t put it down! The chemistry between Wyatt and Hannah so was magnetic. The story flowed great and the writing was perfect.
I love any book that incorporates sports in as well. I actually loved the added parts about the wins for the season. Wyatt was so great with his football and for the kids he coached.
All in all, The First Lights was an enjoyable read. It had heartbreak, love and a lot of sass. I definitely recommend it!

Blog Tour: The Brightest Stars by Anna Todd
The Brightest Stars, a beautiful and gripping novel from New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling author Anna Todd, is available NOW!
The Brightest Stars is actually the first book that I’ve read by Anna Todd. I have heard so many good things about her After series, but never had the chance to read them. After seeing the cover for this
book, I knew I finally had to give her books a try. This cover is gorgeous and completely captivated my attention. Then, after reading the synopsis, I felt like
it was right up my alley.
First, disclaimer. I had absolutely no idea this was he beginning of a trilogy. Had I known, I might have waited until the last one was out. Because now I’m dying to know what happens next! Yes, this book has a cliffhanger.
I really like the characters, Karina and Kael. They were so well written and deep. Anna Todd’s writing is superb. Now I’ll have to find the time to read more of her work. Slow burns are some of my favorite books. But they have to be done correctly or else it may seem to drag forever. This book was done right! I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for so long!

Ahhhhh!!! This book was so good!!! I’m slightly kicking myself because I didn’t know there was an entire Wicked Series. I NEED to go back and read them! But trust me, it’s absolutely not necessary to enjoy this book.
Where do I start? I was completely hooked from the very first paragraph. Andrew is HOT and so honestly! He’s a sexy nerd and I love it!!! He met Brynne in the most unconventional way, but the way they hit it off in the beginning was great. Their interactions just got better from there.
Dane and Avril were such amazing friends. They loved Andrew and wanted him to be so happy. The loving friendship was so evident.
I finished this book in 2 days. I hating every moment I had to put it down! So addicting, so hot. Loved it!!

Release and Review: Flirting with Fire by Piper Rayne
Everyone knows that if you play with fire you’ll end up getting burned… What happens when you attend a first responder’s bachelor auction with your best friends? Well, if your name is Madison Kelly like me, your friends end up bidding on a date for you with your high school crush. That’s right. Even back when I was ‘Fatty Maddie’ to all my classmates, I had eyes for the quarterback of our football team. Not like I was the only one. Mauro Bianco may fight fires for a living, but he still sets my heart ablaze. One look at the rugged, muscular man he’s turned into and I want to slide down his pole. One date. That’s all I’m committed to. A few hours and I can tuck him back into that tattered old shoebox in my closet. As always, the universe has other plans. I never would’ve predicted that in a matter of days he’d turn from my dream guy into my enemy. ADD TO GOODREADS

My brothers widen their stances, share a look of amusement and cock their eyebrows at me. “Hate to break it to you, but Maddie didn’t bid on you. Lauren did.” Luca laughs while Cristian chuckles. “I’m going out with a Madison and she didn’t go to our high school. Which reminds me.” I pull out my phone. “Maddie is Madison, you idiot,” Luca says. “Her and Lauren were my year.” “I went to high school with Madison?” I try to let her face come back to me, and though I can picture her bright blue eyes and long chestnut hair, nothing about her is familiar from high school. “Yes, but she definitely wasn’t hanging out at the bonfires and football pep rallies.” Luca grabs his helmet off his bike. The only responsible thing I’ve seen him do in the last few years. “Well, shit and she doesn’t even want to go out with me? Her friend bid on me?” Luca straddles his bike with a grin. I look over to Cristian, but he’s putting his shirt back on and starts fiddling with his earbuds. They obviously think this conversation is over. “Yeah, but we’re all in the same boat.” Cristian’s thumb moves over his phone screen. “Maddie’s awesome and I think you’ll have a good time with her.” “She seemed pretty quiet and way too accommodating,” I say. Luca kicks his stand up, letting the bike rock a little under him. Cristian’s hands freeze on the screen of his phone. “And that’s bad?” he asks. “I want a woman who knows what she wants. Has her own damn opinions. Doesn’t just agree with everything I say.” Cristian peeks over his shoulder, a look of amusement that matches Luca’s. “You want a girl to come up and grab your nuts?” “I want a girl who knows what her favorite food is, has an opinion about where she wants to go for dinner, likes whatever sports team she likes and doesn’t default to my favorites.” I stuff my hands into my pockets, digging out my keys for my truck. “Well then, Maddie might not be the one. Like I said, she’s nice.” Cristian slaps me on the shoulder. “Treat her good though, okay?” He inserts one earbud. “What do you think I’m going to do, leave her in Garfield Park?” He puts his other earbud in. “That’s not even funny man. I have a friend in that district and the shit that goes down there...” He shakes his head. Cristian loses the entire point of my statement—the fact I’m not a jackass. I’m not Luca. “It’s one date,” I say. “And who knows, maybe she’s nice but still has a wild streak.” Christian again glances over to Luca who’s smiling like he’s fucking Mickey Mouse. “Well, good luck on your date,” he says. Cristian jogs away and Luca’s bike starts up. I head to my truck. The conversation is over, but I’m curious now. Where’s my damn yearbook?

Blog Tour: Ravage by Jessica Prince
I can’t believe this is the last book in the Civil Corruption series. While I’ve been dying to read Mace and Lyla’s story, it’s oh so bittersweet. I’ve come to love these guys so much!! This is hands down the best Rocker series I’ve read this year. And definitely in the top five all time.
Mace and Lyla’s story beings so long ago. Back before they made it big. With Lyla being Will’s little sister, she was around them so much. I had so many tears while reading this book. I’m sooo glad we got to know Will a little bit more. He definitely made his way in my heart the little bit we got to see him interact with Lyla.
Ravage will give you all the feels!! Mace is wonderful, although at times I wanted to punch him in the face. While this is Mace and Lyla’s story, we also get to see the rest of the group. Their story comes to an end, but we get that great little epilogue that wraps everything up so nicely. I can’t say it enough. I love this series. Ravage is the perfect ending.
